JIA hosts the Puplic Saftey Agencies

The Board of Directors of the Jordanian Investors Association hosted His Excellency Colonel Ali Al-Khawalid, Director of the Investment Protection Unit, and His Excellency Mr. Omar Juwayed, General Manager of the Industrial Estates Company. The meeting was attended by Messrs. Major Fadi Bey Al-Tarawneh, Commander of the Investment Protection Company/Sahab, and Major Amer Abu Rumman, Head of the Research Department. Criminal/Investment, First Lieutenant Fadi Al-Ajarma, Assistant Head of the Preventive Security/Investment Branch, Mr. Moataz Namrouqa, Assistant Director General for Industrial Cities Affairs, and Mr. Samir Thneibat, Director of King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein Industrial City.

Mr. Assem Samara, President of the Investors Association, welcomed the attendees and praised their interest in the industry and industrialists. Mr. Assem raised a number of issues and proposals, including:

• Restoration of the city walls and cooperation from all parties in this matter.

• Installing a patrol at the second gate of King Abdullah II Industrial City.

• Opening a back door to King Abdullah II Industrial City.

• Lighting maintenance and street maintenance in the city.

• Combating the phenomenon of beggars within the city.

His Excellency Mr. Omar Juwaied thanked the Board of Directors of the Investors Association for its activity and desire for change. He stressed the importance of the industrial sector and the revenues it provides to the state and employment of the workforce. He stressed that the presence of Al-Modon Company is to serve the industrial sector, and he gave special thanks to the Investment Protection Unit for their efforts. The efforts made to protect investors in general and factories in particular, and that everyone works according to the directives of His Majesty the King and his economic vision, and commented on the proposals made by Mr. Assem Samara that Al-Modon Company has financial allocations for the maintenance of the city, and that some maintenance will begin soon without inviting bids. Some of them will be tendered to start with, and he has no objection to opening a back door to the city, but the issue must be studied from all sides, specifically from the security authorities, and his compassion asked for support and cooperation from the association and from companies in maintaining the factories’ signboards.

After that, His Excellency Colonel Ali Al-Khawaldeh thanked the Investors Association and the Industrial Estates Company, as he confirmed at the beginning of his speech that the Investment Protection Unit implements public security policies under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, as the Investment Protection Unit works to secure seven investment sites in Jordan, where he followed He was sympathetic to the proposal to maintain the walls and stressed its necessity, and that they had conducted a survey on the walls and found that they needed restoration, and that restoration and maintenance work was underway, and that they would launch campaigns against beggars inside the city. As for opening a back door to the city, he did not support the idea because it would cause weakness in the procedures. City security.

For his part, Mr. Asem Samara stressed the necessity of opening a back door to the city that serves industrialists, and that it is possible to find a mechanism to control traffic at the back door, such as placing stickers on cars allowed to enter and exit.

It was agreed to hold periodic meetings to solve the problems of industrialists and to submit proposals that serve the industry and industrialists in the region.
