The Industrial Sector in Parliamentary Elections
2024-08-22JIA hosted Mrs. Nevin Shawabkeh at the association's headquarters to hold a meeting with a number of industrialists in the industrial cities area in Sahab, to discuss her electoral program within the "No. 1" renewal list in the first district in the capital Amman, and her vision for the industrial sector in the event that she reaches the next parliament.
Mrs. Al-Shawabkeh indicated that the renewal list works according to basic principles that she has set to follow in light of the current circumstances and what the national economy in general and the industrial sector in particular are suffering from, stressing the importance of enhancing the economic and social security of the country and the citizen and protecting economic rights.
Mrs. Al-Shawabkeh stressed the importance of working and reaching the silent majority during the current parliamentary elections, noting that the people of the industrial sector are capable of bringing about change in the upcoming elections and bringing the deserving person to the parliament dome.
Mrs. Al-Shawabkeh pointed out the need to care for and preserve job opportunities in Jordan, and contribute to their development and increase investment in a way that serves the citizen's interest in terms of reducing unemployment rates, in addition to preserving workers' rights to employment and providing them with suitable work opportunities and environment and achieving an income that provides the means for a decent living.
In turn, the attendees stressed the importance of having a real representation of the industrial sector within the parliament, so that it is close to the concerns and problems suffered by the industrialist, and is able to convey them to the parliament, stressing their support for industrialist Nevin Al-Shawabkeh as she is able to carry the concerns of industrialists and convey them in the correct way within the House of Representatives, stressing the right of industrialists to have a representative within the parliament.
Mrs. Al-Shawabkeh indicated at the end of her speech that the industrial sector and the people of the first district in the capital Amman in particular, need someone to represent them strongly and competently, and work to serve the citizen first and foremost and the industrial sector in a way that serves the public interest.
