2025-09-10 **During a Meeting of the Director General of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration with Industrialists from Sahab and Muqair at the Jordan Investors Association** **Al-Jaghbeer:** Distinguished efforts by the Jordan Investors Association in serving industrialists. **Obeidat:** Reinforcing the “Food and Drug” office in Sahab with additional staff to expedite industrialists’ transactions. **Al-Rajabi:** Calls for intensified support for food and drug factories in Sahab and Muqair, electronic linking, and faster procedures. The Chairman of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Engineer Fathi Al-Jaghbeer, appreciated the important role played by the Jordan Investors Association in serving industrialists in the Sahab and Muqair areas, emphasizing the importance of partnership and integration between the Amman Chamber of Industry and the Association in supporting the industrial sector. This came during a meeting held by the Director General of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration, Dr. Rana Obeidat, with several industrialists at the Association’s headquarters in Sahab. The meeting was attended by the Vice President of the Jordan Chamber of Industry and representative of the Food Industries Sector, Mohammad Walid Al-Jaytan, and the representative of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Supplies Sector, Dr. Fadi Al-Atrash, along with several investors and factory owners. Dr. Rana Obeidat emphasized that the role of the institution is not limited to regulatory oversight but extends to stimulating investment in the food and pharmaceutical industries. She announced the reinforcement of the F\&D office in Sahab with additional staff to facilitate industrialists and expedite their transactions, alongside completing the process automation project and strengthening human resources. For his part, the Association’s Chairman, Mr. Mujahid Al-Rajabi, stressed that industry is the nation’s main pillar and identity, calling for the establishment of a Pharmaceutical and Medical Supplies Office within the Association and the development of the existing Food Office’s services to serve investors’ interests, in line with the vision of economic modernization and the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein – may God protect him. Dr. Haneen Hassouna, Director of the Association, also presented a comprehensive presentation highlighting the challenges facing investors in the area, focusing on the current state of infrastructure, administrative, and legislative frameworks, and the need to develop communication channels with official authorities. This meeting is part of a series of efforts by the Jordan Investors Association to enhance partnership with regulatory and supervisory bodies, ensuring the sustainability of national industry and raising its competitiveness locally and internationally.
