Meeting with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Digital Skills Association
2025-07-15As part of enhancing opportunities for cooperation and strategic partnerships, the Jordan Investors Association is holding an important meeting with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and Digiskills to discuss ways of collaboration in training and employing a number of Syrian refugees and Jordanians. The goal of this cooperation is to equip factories and industrial sectors with specialized skills and competencies in the technology field. **Objectives of the meeting:** * Training and employing a number of Syrian refugees and Jordanians in information technology and digital skills. * Providing factories with advanced skills and competencies that meet the evolving market needs. * Introducing Association members to Digiskills’ available programs and how to benefit from them. **Available Digiskills Programs (Grants and Training):** Digiskills offers four specialized training grant programs, including: 1. Digital Skills Training Program 2. Advanced Technology Skills Development Training Program 3. Grants for Training in Digital Entrepreneurship 4. Grants for Training Programs in Modern Technology Sectors **How can Association members benefit from these opportunities?** The available programs and how to benefit from them will be presented during the meeting with Digiskills representatives, where partnership and cooperation methods between the Association and involved parties will be discussed to develop the skills of local and refugee workers. We look forward to enhancing training and employment opportunities for our members and increasing the skills of the workforce in technological sectors.
