Jordan Investors Association: "Employment, Training, and Transportation" — The Key to Empowering Youth and Boosting Industry
2025-07-24The Chairman of the Jordan Investors Association, Mujahid Al-Rajabi, affirmed that the Association continues its field efforts to empower Jordanian youth to enter the labor market by activating the trilogy of “employment, training, and transportation,” in line with the economic modernization vision that prioritizes employment and the stimulation of national industries. He stated this during the inauguration of a job fair organized by the Association at its headquarters in Sahab, in cooperation with the Danish Refugee Council, funded by the European Union, and in strategic partnership with the National Employment Program of the Ministry of Labor. He emphasized that what the Association is doing is not merely a temporary event but part of a comprehensive vision aiming to connect youth with real job opportunities and provide an environment that enables their success and stability. He explained that the job fair witnessed significant turnout from job seekers, with over 300 young men and women participating from various governorates. Sixteen member factories offered more than 70 direct job opportunities in diverse sectors including production, accounting, engineering, graphic design, and warehouse management. According to the Association’s statement on Saturday, Al-Rajabi pointed out that the Association was keen to register applicants through the National Employment Platform to ensure effective follow-up and guarantee the sustainability of connecting youth with employers. He highlighted that the Association launched practical vocational training programs inside factories in cooperation with the Vocational Training College, one of the Crown Prince Foundation’s initiatives, aimed at developing youth skills according to actual market needs. He also referred to the operation of a pilot transportation line between Zarqa and Sahab, coordinated with the Land Transport Regulatory Commission, to facilitate workers’ access to their workplaces. He noted that transportation is a key barrier to regular attendance at work, and through this pilot step, the Association seeks to prove the feasibility of the model and expand it in the future. Al-Rajabi confirmed that these integrated initiatives reflect the Jordan Investors Association’s commitment to its national and economic role and its keenness to be an active partner in implementing the country’s priorities through practical projects that have a direct impact on local communities. It is worth mentioning that the Jordan Investors Association was established in 1991 to provide services to industrial and service establishments for its affiliated members within the geographic areas it covers and to enhance cooperation among various industries and industrial solidarity to produce distinguished Jordanian products for the local and global markets.
