Visit of the Minister of Environment to the Jordanian Investors Association

2026-04-21 The Jordanian Investors Association welcomed H.E. Minister of Environment Dr. Ayman Suleiman in an important visit that reflects the depth of partnership between the public and private sectors in supporting environmental efforts and promoting the transition toward a green economy. The meeting was opened by the Association’s Chairman, Mr. Mujahid Al-Rajabi, who welcomed the Minister and distinguished attendees and emphasized the importance of the meeting in strengthening dialogue and cooperation to address environmental challenges facing the industrial sector. This was followed by remarks from the Minister, during which he reviewed the Ministry’s efforts and plans to reduce random waste disposal and promote positive environmental practices. Ethmar Non-Profit Foundation also presented a range of its projects that actively contribute to the circular economy. The meeting witnessed distinguished engagement from participants through their valuable interventions, which reflected the realities and needs of the industrial sector and emphasized the importance of joint efforts to reach practical and sustainable solutions. On the sidelines of the visit, a field activity was carried out in the company of the Minister, during which environmentally friendly bags were distributed to vehicles at the entrance of King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein Industrial City. This initiative aimed to raise environmental awareness, reduce the use of plastic bags, and limit littering from vehicles. The visit also included field tours to Siniora Factory to review national industrial experiences and their efforts in environmental sustainability, as well as their achievement in receiving the Green Factory Award. The Jordanian Investors Association reaffirmed its continued commitment to supporting environmental initiatives and strengthening the role of the industrial sector as an active partner in building a sustainable green economy.
