JIA & EU for New Collaborations!

The Jordanian Investors Association JIA received the Director of Energy, Environment, and Climate Change Programs in EU, Mr. Omar Abu Eid, at the association's headquarters on Thursday 23-1-2025, on a visit to discuss ways of cooperation and present a group of projects related to the industrial sector that intersect with the goals of sustainable development and green solutions.

The association's president, Mr. Asem Samara, presented a brief about the Jordanian Investors Association, its goals, and its most prominent activities, and then presented the challenges facing the industrial sector in the issue of green solutions and addressing environmental problems with proposals for solutions that can be worked on with the presence of a strategic partner such as the European Union.

In the presence of the association's vice president, Mr. Saed Al-Jitan, Board Member, Eng. Qusay Al-Armouti, board member, Mr. Ali Abu Hammad, and the association's executive director, Dr. Hanin Hassouna, several existing and expected projects were discussed to work on with the association and the association's team's readiness to provide the necessary support to start these projects. For his part, Mr. Omar Abu Eid explained that the European Union is working seriously and continuously to develop and address issues related to environmental affairs and care for them.

As a first step after the meeting, Mr. Omar Abu Eid recommended sending the Technical Support Committee of the European Union Mission in Jordan to identify the real needs and opportunities for cooperation in projects related to the industrial sector. These efforts come together to increase the effort made to support the industrial sector and work to find solutions to overcome obstacles and ensure a better climate and economic environment.
