JIA & Minister of Transport

A delegation from the Jordanian Investors Association, represented by the President of JIA, Mr. Assem Samara, paid an official visit to Eng. Wissam Al-Tahatmouni, Minister of Transport, to study the possibility of enhancing public transportation services for the industrial zones in both Sahab and Al-Mowaqar areas.

The delegation included the Vice President of JIA, Mr. Saed Al-Jitan, the General Secretary, Eng. Daoud Al-Qasrawi, the Financial Secretary, Eng.Qusay Al-Armouti, and the General Manager, Dr. Hanin Hassouna, as they presented a complete overview of the most prominent challenges that medium-sized and small-sized factories suffer from the transportation needs of their employees and the difficulty of attracting new employees.

In turn, Her Excellency Eng. Al-Tahatmouni directed the Land Transport Regulatory Authority to review and evaluate the public transport services and lines currently available and ways to enhance them to meet the requirements of the industrial zones.

Where, Mr. Samara, ensured that the Association is fully prepared to provide the necessary support to provide diverse transportation networks that serve industrial workers.

This visit comes as one of the ongoing steps that the association is taking to address the most prominent challenges in the Sahab and Al-Muwaqqar industrial zones, as they are the largest industrial zones in Jordan, and the association seeks, through its continuous efforts, to provide a comfortable industrial environment for investment and development.
